Flex posters have tapped out

A notice went out from Ted Patrick’s blog the other day about Flex Posters. I actually have a nice set of Flex posters thanks to Shlomy Gantz and the fine New York Flex user group. Apparently folks have been emailing Ted directly for posters and a form on flex.org was set up to take and fulfill the requests.

After over 1000 requests in 2 days, the Poster Request form has been taken down while:

We're going to go back to the drawing board and come up with something in the next few weeks. Check back later to see what you'll need to do to get the posters

Either the Flex programming space is heating up, or people want the posters to heat their homes after the latest cold snap in the northern U.S. (Snow in April is pure crap. Just ask me.)

Wasn’t there a big stink at Max06 about posters and Abode wanting to charge for them? This change of strategy is certainly appreciated by me, and the rest of the development community I am sure. Macromedia had great developer relations and I am pleased to see a continuance of pro-developer attitude in Adobe.

Rock On flexDobe! We Love You!

P.S. The message about posters said, “Check back later to see what you’ll need to do to get the posters”.
I wonder what you will have to do to get a poster? Post an example Flex app? Go on a scavenger hunt? Take a picture of yourself holding a sign saying “I love Flex”? It might turn out to be something clever and fun.

What would you suggest Adobe do? Extra points for the most clever idea. (And no water drinking contests, please!
